"Innovate Blue" Program and Goals
 

The "Innovate Blue" is an independent international competition, sponsored by H2oInstitute (www.H2oInstitute.org) and H2oAlliance (www.H2oAlliance.org) Global.
 
The program supports products and services that enable reduced water and energy consumption, and items that are made from sustainable, virtual, ethical, fair trade, organic, biodegradable, recycled or recyclable materials. 

The goal of the program is to help reduce water waste and demand for freshwater by focusing on water-efficiency design, sustainability, new-tech, practical, eco-friendly, virtual, recycled, stylish, organic, ethical, and fair trade. The program vision is to contribute and help people in need for safe and clean drinking water: http://www.unicefusa.org/work/water/
 
The program was designed to encourage emerging designers, professionals, students, individuals, experts and engineers to enter their work into an informal competition with the chance to showcase and promote their work to global audiences through H2oalliance global network. The program honors excellence in the disciplines of design, art, branding, illustration, and print. The program recognizes outstanding entries from individuals, commercial firms, students, and non-profit groups worldwide. 
 
"Innovate Blue" Competition Details
  • Time-line:  Design entries must be submitted to: H2oInstitute@H2oAlliance.org by December 1, 2008, April 1, 2009, and August 1, 2009.
  • Campaign Details: "Innovate Blue" 
  • Campaign Website: www.InnovateBlue.org
  • Campaign Audience:  Global Consumer Market and Business Community
  • Judging:  A panel of judges with representatives from H2oAlliance global network of experts. The panel will assess the top entries and rank them in order of merit. The first entries with the most number of votes will be announced in the H2oAlliance Website, and in the World Water Conference in Istanbul Turkey in March 2009.
  • Prize: The top entries/ designs will become the official "Innovate Blue" campaign featured products, services and merchandise. All entries will be made available for sale through H2oAlliance Global network (www.H2oAlliance.org) 
General: 
  • Sales proceeds will go direct to the designers, manufacturers, and commercial companies.
  • All design entries may be used for awareness, commercial and promotional purposes.
  • You may enter as many designs as desired.The winning design(s) will be offered for sale through H2oAlliance Global Network of multinational companies.
  • H2oInstitute may, at their discretion, print and offer for sale other designs submitted as part of this competition.
  • Entries must comply with reasonable standards of decency and will be posted on the dedicated marketplace web site.
  • H2oInstitute, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject entries that it deems to be unacceptable.
  • H2oInstitute reserves the right to remove entries from the competition at any time.
  • All entrants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to terms & conditions.
