People, communities, and companies around the world value
their freshwater resources, and want to take action to protect them.
That's why we promote sustainable use of
freshwater, and seek opportunities to share our wealth of expertise,
technologies and services, particularly with companies, communities and regions facing
freshwater challenges.
The availability of clean and safe freshwater is vital to ecosystems,
human health, agriculture, and industry. Water depletion ,and pollution can have serious environmental
consequences. Climate change has the potential to significantly alter both
the supply, and distribution of freshwater worldwide. Therefore, a precautionary approach is important in
achieving a common solution, to 'Get more out of Water'.
We will continue developing comprehensive water management
plans, and promoting new-technologies, to help ensure the security of
clean and safe freshwater over the long term.
We support the CEO Water Mandate - UNDP
We seek to make a positive impact with respect to the emerging global water crisis by mobilizing a critical mass of business leaders to advance water sustainability solutions – in partnership with the United Nations, civil society organizations, governments, and other stakeholders.
We have developed a unique action platform to share best and emerging practices and to forge multi-stakeholder partnerships to address the problems of access to safe and clean water.
We cover six areas: Direct Operations; Supply Chain and Watershed Management; Collective Action; Public Policy; Community Engagement; and Transparency.
We endorse the CEO Water Mandate and recognize that through individual and collective action we can contribute to the vision of the UN Global Compact and the realization of the Millennium Development Goals.
We support LetCleanWatersFlow education programs and PPP (public private partnertship) water projects worldwide.
