Integrated Water Risk Mitigation and Crisis Management (IWRCM) Program Summary

Objective:

To demonstrate the value of global Integrated Water Risk Mitigation and Crisis Management (IWRCM) collaboration, to leverage the water risk and crisis management expertise and experience at local and global level (IWRCMP), and deliver speed-to-market solutions through technology.

Program Overview

H2oAlliance will initiate, implement, and manage a 12 month pilot program. We can customize a water risk and crisis management collaboration platform for your organization within 3-6 months, and install a real-time water quality management Platform (WQMP), and/ or Resource Efficiency Management System (REMS) within three months.

Based on our knowledge we will select the most suitable integrated solution and sensors to survey risks, monitor and measure water quality and resource management efficiency. We will install a WQMP or REMS in your location. We will enable collaboration between experts and learners, provide training, support and develop new features according to the specific needs of the selected sites. Access to all instant analysis is controlled by you so that confidential information is only available to the staff with a need to know.

The IWRCM platform will enable collaboration, exchange of information and speed-to-market solutions. As a result, the 'learners - users' will receive solutions from the experts. The platform will establish ongoing collaboration between your organization and our partners worldwide. The experts will share their experience and expertise and offer the world's most advanced tools for securing the best possible water quality, resource efficiency, safety, and security. While at the same time, they can provide know-how to optimize the consumption of materials and energy, and to minimize or prevent environmental ecocide.

A successful implementation of integrated risk mitigation program and technology has an impact on your company and the entire community and beyond, provided that the program and technologies centralize the information management into one platform. In addition, the program can increase productivity and profitability; the material savings are significant.

Project Plan and Schedule

Objectives:

The integrated program objectives are to forecast, detect, identify, adapt, prevent and response to water risks.

The goal is to improve water quality, resource efficiency, safety, security and source and supply management, and save water, materials, and energy. In addition, to integrate water risk mitigation efforts to minimize errors during surveys, data collection and transcription of results, and reveal previously unobservable phenomena which impact water quality in ground and surface water sources, industrial process and distribution systems.

H2oAlliance’s team of experts offer the latest in a range of methods, practices, tools and technologies to assess the chemical and ecological make-up of water bodies for effective monitoring. Priority will be given to spatial and temporal water quality assessment which includes miniature sensing systems, wireless network technology and mobile devices. The technology characteristics are ease of deployment, self-sustaining wireless sensor networks, stable chemo-sensors and low maintenance. Hardware components comprise smart materials, nano and microchip technologies for sensing a wide range of parameters that are developed with supporting software applications.

The following is a series of milestones to achieve our objective.

1st milestone: Achieve funding for the project.

2nd milestone: Assess the water risks and construct a customized Water Risk and Crisis Management Collaboration Platform and forming a network of experts, leaders and learners.

3rd milestone: Research into the applicability of the technology to the source. Initiate a risk mitigation plan with industrial and environmental monitoring. Install the measurement unit(s) in the selected site(s). Develop specific measurements.

4th milestone: Implement the risk mitigation plan based on the milestone 2. creating real-time and ongoing collaboration for the group of users and provide user training.

5th milestone: Identify areas in which the technology may be expanded including efficiency performance metrics and a priority list of potential risks to be monitored. Achieve production state of the system and approve it into authorities' use.

Outputs:

Your organization will share and have access to a collaboration platform and effective and customized water risk mitigation and resource efficiency tools, time-tested technologies, proven methods and documented practices. The benefits include substantial savings and reduction of labor-intensive surveys, field sampling and measuring campaigns, as well as fewer errors during data collection, transcription of results, adaptation and implementation. The dense data and information is expected to reveal previously unobservable phenomena. Success will be documented and new reports and publications will be shared to make use of speed-to-market risk mitigation.

The result of the program would be a new practice on how to detect, prevent, manage and respond to water risks in an accurate, timely and efficient manner. It also enables the training of staff and people from multidisciplinary fields of companies, organizations and research institutions.

Outcomes:

The platform will deliver a comprehensive water risk and crisis management program focused on water risk mitigation, and resource management efficiency, to improve water quality and water resource management, and industrial process and environmental water monitoring and measuring efficiency. The platform will help adaptation to water risk management challenges which include economic, industrial, environmental, public policy, and health.

Features:
  • Low entry price is made possible by pooling partners resources;
  • Complete water risk mitigation and collaboration solution;
  • Affordable, easy to operate and execute;
  • Delivers customization and meets specific needs;
  • Increases risk mitigation productivity and therefore profitability;
  • Easy to implement, execute, and operate.
