Here's How You Can Help Environmental Remediation Efforts in the Gulf of Mexico Area
May 10, 2010, Atlanta, GA --- The Environmental Remediation (ER) partner program is an exciting opportunity for innovators, investors, and philanthropists to participate and accelerate the recovery from the devastation brought on by the Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
If the age old saying "it takes a village to raise a child" is true then it will take a global community of innovators to be part of a solution to remediate the communities, environment, and the wildlife in the Gulf region. According to Reuters, financial analysts have produced estimates for the final cost of the clean up ranging from $7 billion (according to the investment firm Bernstein) to under $1.1 billion (according to analysts at Citigroup, Evolution Securities and Panmure Gordon). However, this figure could climb dramatically once the oil slick hits the land and as the process moves forward. The BP Corporation will provide relief, but much more will be needed to restore the environment. While substantial this is not enough --- what about the people and wildlife affected by the oil spill?
H2OAlliance is sponsoring a global survey to help maximize efficiency and environmental benefit of cleanup action in the Gulf states. We identify innovations and innovators with BATs, BMTs, successful methods, and proven practices to be shared with ER working groups, local organizations and the public in the Gulf States. We aim to implement these innovative cleanup solutions that will restore contaminated sites to productive use, reduce associated cost and footprint, and promote environmental stewardship. We seek cleanup solutions that use natural resources and energy efficiently, reduce negative impacts on the environment, minimize or eliminate pollution at its source, and reduce waste to the greatest extent possible.
H2OAlliance will manage all partner surveys and projects to deliver speed-to-market solutions to accelerate the clean-up process. We aim to help restore the environment and lives of all people and wildlife in the area. ER partners will deliver unique innovations and bring technology know-how and support for local ER working groups in the Gulf region.
H2OAlliance will provide this support for at least one year or until the job is finished. H2OAlliance Global will produce white papers to release actionable knowledge about the latest innovations and direct it to all partners in the Gulf region. They will then direct these speed-to-market solutions to the recovery efforts of their choice.
So, join with us and help restore communities, wildlife and families. Join H2OAlliance ER working group today. For more information, go to: ER working group or contact: ERP@H2OAlliance.org
